Old Bears and Teds was formed by three friends, Jackie Wright, Christine Mayhew and Mary Saundry.  Jackie, Christine and Mary all live in Cornwall and a love of old bears and an interest in bear making and restoration has blossomed into this website and also attendance at various shows around the country.

Jackie Wright - Jackie started making bears in 2000 after buying a kit from Emmary Bears at the Launceston Agricultrual Show !!!  This started a new hobby for Jackie who had always wanted to make a bear.  Jackie regularly exhibits at shows with her own bears and is now busy restoring bears that she 'rescues' on her regular visits to Germany.   

Christine Mayhew - Christine has always loved and been fascinated by old objects and can't resist an Antique Fair or Flea Market.  A skilled needlewoman Christine lived on a canal boat for several years and supplemented her income by making and selling bears from the boat as they made their way around the country.

Mary Saundry - lots of you already know Mary from Emmary Bears.  Mary has always loved sewing and enjoys the challenge of restoring old bears to some of their former glory.

So, three friends, lots of old bears and accessories and you have .... Old Bears and Teds.
